My name is Mike Boxwell. I'm based in the UK and have been driving electric cars for four years. Prior to that, I worked in the electric vehicle industry for three years. I run the REVA Electric Car owners club and my two electric cars that I use on a daily basis are a Mitsubishi iMiEV and a REVA G-Wiz DC. The G-Wiz is 'my' car that I use predominantly for commuting too and from work. The iMiEV is the family car that is mainly used by my wife during the week and used for all the family travel at weekends.

I write extensively about 'eco-tech' such as solar panels and electric cars and often appear on TV in the UK talking about the merits and drawbacks of electric cars. I also run the REVA Electric Car Owners Club which is one of the largest electric car owners clubs in Europe.

I drove the Nissan EV-12 development mule last month and Nissan have promised me a LEAF to play with for a day later in the summer. It's a good car and it is easy to see why so many people are getting so excited about the car: the development mule was certainly very impressive.

If anyone has any questions about owning an electric car, feel free to drop me a line.
Author of the book Owning an Electric Car.
