Here's a list of what I'm NOT going to do to maintain my Leaf....
* Change the Oil
* Swap out the Spark Plugs
* Flush the Radiator
* Smog Check (in California at least)
* Buy gasoline
* Replace the air cleaner
* Replace that blown engine after revving it up too far
* Replace timing belt
* Replace ANY belt
* Anything related to the transmission

Oh yeah, one more thing I'm NOT going to do in my Leaf....
I won't be able to sit in the Leaf with the engine running in the garage with the doors closed and try to end it all.

Good point about the anti-suicide thing. I reckon Nissan need to stress that point in their advertising. 
One thing I have found. Despite using electric cars for the past four years, I'm still stopping regularly at service stations. It's amazing how often we run out of milk late at night.
